Our Imperial or Double IPA is a brew not to be taken lightly. Crafted in small batches from the finest European malts and American hops. A huge earthy hop aroma is followed by a pleasant caramel sweetness. Four hop varieties round out this perfectly balanced beer that is sure to warm your soul and for that we offer No Apologies!

Bomber pours an orange copper. Slight floral hops on the nose with some malt. My eyes light up at first taste, HOPS, beautiful floral, citrusy, elegant hop flavor followed by an apparent, but not overpowering, malt sweetness. As the glass warms the malt comes through more. Mouthfeel is next to perfect, not over carbonated, and betters as it warms. For a 10% IIPA the alcohol tones are hidden perfectly. In a blind test I’d guess 7%. Not usually a fan of East Coast IPA’s but this one is awesome. Have another? You bet!

Keg at Top Hops - NYC. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. Good stuff, pretty sweet and oily. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Heavy on the finish with rich tropical fruits, oily hops. OK.

Drought. Hazy orange-yellow, large creamy white head, orange peel aroma, sweetish hoppy taste with orange flavor, medium finish. Very mellow for an IPA.

Medium amber, clear. Full body, unctous texture, moderate flavor, high but not excessive heat, beautifully balanced mouthfeel, avg but tasty finish. Bittersweet, good acidity. Yeasty, hoppy, malty. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Top Hops. All malt, hold the hops? Some sweet spruce, no bite at all, not that I need any bite (in fact some of the best have none) but there is no hop character IMHO, really really sweet for an IIPA. Not sure I follow, perhaps it was an off keg / pour. Color was copper with off white head. Super sweet & gooey, sweet malt bomb.

Excellent combination of rich malt and several hops in blend. Bombastic label will keep you reading for 20 minutes!
