On tap, 10/10/07. Pours black with very light tan foam, decent retention, decent lacing. Completely flat aroma, just a hint of malt and nothing else. Flavor is akin to slightly dark malty water, not a whole lot going on. Mouthfeel is very watery, no finish to speak of. Disappointing.

Aug 13, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a black color typical of a stout with good chocolate/malty aroma. Taste is also very malty and pleasant but not very complex. Palate was dry. Expected a little more but overall a pretty good beer.

Aug 9, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a hardly there light tan head. Aroma is quite sweet, of sweet roasted malt. Flavor of the same sweet roasted malt, weak palate. Tastes like your typical mediocre stout. Meh.

May 6, 2008 Very dark mahogany with a thin light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and a touch of dried dark fruits, maybe even a bit vinous. Roastiness and bitter dark chocolate in the flavor. Dry bitterness in the finish balances it out and adds to the drinkability. Medium bodied with low carbonation makes for a nice, silky mouthfeel. A nice, drinkable session stout.
