COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Octoberfest is another palate-pleasing seasonal brew. Originally brewed in 1810 to celebrate the betrothal of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, Blue Point continues the celebration by traditionally brewing this special malty amber lager every October. Octoberfest lager is stored cold for 2 months to ensure its distinct smooth flavor. Tap a pint and celebrate the season!

12 oz. bottle. Color is clear, light amber. Carbonation is average. Head is fingernails long, leaving spotty lace. Nose is solely caramel. Decent flavors of caramel malt, sweet bread and a spicy hop. Kind of a grassy hop. Body is light. Texture is kind of syrupy. All-in-all it is a typical fest, but enjoyable.

Aroma: sweet , toasty malty nose , hint of brown sugar. Tad light on hops. Lacking classic notes. 6-
Look: presentable with clear amber-gold body and large snowy white cap. Good lace.4+
Taste etc.: medium bodied with fuller malty side. Hops more pronouced in flavour but still quiet sweet. Lacking clean smooth notes of good lagers. Fairly drinkable.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear honey orange with a small white head on top. No retention left behind. The aroma is light with notes of honey, floral tones, sweet sugary malts. The body is lighter than other Oktos I’ve had this season. Carbonation gives a light bubbly feel, but this beer lacks the moderate heft I like in this style. The flavors border on fruity, to a bit of a fault. Pale apple, sweet crackers, juice-like residual sweetness. The main players I expect in the flavor - caramel, malt, bread - are absent, or at least masked quite well under a covering of sweet fruity character. This one missed the mark for me. It wasn’t a bad "beer," it just wasn’t a great Okto.

Pours a deep golden amber. Aroma of sugar drenched hay. Taste is very sweet. Almost like grape juice. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled 7/30/2012. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice foamy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of pear, apple, caramel, biscuit, toast, grass, herbal, and light earth. Very nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of caramel, pear, apple, toast, biscuit, grass, herbal, and light spiciness. Lingering notes of caramel, light fruits, toast, biscuit, and herbal on the finish for a bit. Nice balance of all flavors with no cloying sweetness at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest! Spot on style flavor profile with great balance; extremely smooth to drink. Really enjoyable and true to style all the way.

12oz bottle, twist off cap. Pours a deep golden/amber with a nice foamy white head. Aromas of toasted bread, caramel, yeast, skunky funk, and some herbal notes. Flavor is well balanced and damn drinkable. Bready caramel malts, fruit, tea, and a clean finish. Leaves the palate wet and wanting more. Nice

Bottle from a six pack--light amber color, almost a deep straw color with a fast, disappearing head. Aroma is malty with some roasted nuts. I’m not sure why, but it reminds me of our local German/Austrian restaurant. Toasted nuts and caramel are the main components of the taste. A touch of bitterness on the finish to add to the malty caramel. Lovely stuff, Blue Point, keep up the good work! Produce place.

Some candy corn in the taste. Sweet, no breadiness really, tastes pretty damn shitty.

Medium head and a clear, amber appearance. Spicy and sweet, there is a bit of orange and nutmeg in the taste.
