COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Octoberfest is another palate-pleasing seasonal brew. Originally brewed in 1810 to celebrate the betrothal of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, Blue Point continues the celebration by traditionally brewing this special malty amber lager every October. Octoberfest lager is stored cold for 2 months to ensure its distinct smooth flavor. Tap a pint and celebrate the season!

12oz bottle, twist off cap. Pours a deep golden/amber with a nice foamy white head. Aromas of toasted bread, caramel, yeast, skunky funk, and some herbal notes. Flavor is well balanced and damn drinkable. Bready caramel malts, fruit, tea, and a clean finish. Leaves the palate wet and wanting more. Nice

Bottle from a six pack--light amber color, almost a deep straw color with a fast, disappearing head. Aroma is malty with some roasted nuts. I’m not sure why, but it reminds me of our local German/Austrian restaurant. Toasted nuts and caramel are the main components of the taste. A touch of bitterness on the finish to add to the malty caramel. Lovely stuff, Blue Point, keep up the good work! Produce place.

Some candy corn in the taste. Sweet, no breadiness really, tastes pretty damn shitty.

Medium head and a clear, amber appearance. Spicy and sweet, there is a bit of orange and nutmeg in the taste.

Bottle in the office. Pours clean, light amber with thick cream colored head. Sweet hay, pilsen malt, faint bitterness on the finish...butter crumbles.

Pours a very dark gold with a strong, three finger head that leaves a good amount of lacing on the glass. Deep malt notes in the aroma with some roastyness as well. Moderate amount of carbonation, just enough not to interfere with the taste. Just enough bittering hops to balance the malt. The only thing I am missing is the strong caramel notes that are present in some of the German marzens.

Malty nutty aromas. Typical fest beer flavors. Finishes with a little metallic tinge. Overall a decent fest beer.

Aroma is strong and malty with fruity and earthy underpinnings. Pours a clear, orangy amber with a fairly thick pale wheat head that leaves generous lacing. Lip-smacking flavor has a malty core and firm tones of cloves, fruit and honey. Smooth texture has average body and fizz. Happy Autumnal Equinox - in the northern hemisphere, anyway.
