3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rampmaster (642) - Alden, USA - OCT 24, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2010 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a mug. There appears to be no freshness date on the label.
Appearance: The body has a deep golden to light amber color with very good clarity and lots of carbonation. Its head is just off white in color and fades down quickly to just a wispy thin layer which makes very little lacing.
Smell: In the nose there are notes of pale light malt, biscuits and a very light touch of herbal/floral hops. There is also a light sweetness and something that reminds me of smartlys candy.
Taste/Palate: It has a base of light roasted malt, grain and some biscuity flavors with mild sweetness. Hop flavor is light, mostly floral with some leafy and citrus notes on the finish. The finish also has the mildly sweet malt turning dry and crisp with more of a raw grain and husk character. The body has a light to medium feel and its carbonation is quite lively and a bit fizzy on the palate.
Notes: The head retention was a bit of a let down for me but it was still a tasty Oktoberfest style beer. It was a little bit lighter in color and body than most but it was very drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Braudog (4606) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - FEB 23, 2012
Bottle. Classic fest appeal -- amber, bubbly and well-topped. There’s a stark appley aroma, like cider’s brewing on the stove. It drinks with the same similar appeal -- sweet, orchard-fruity, and light bodied. (#4482, 2/23/2012)

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 nick76 (3583) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JAN 1, 2012

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Palidor19 (2386) - Brandon, Florida, USA - NOV 30, 2011
Very solid all the way,has a nice rich caramel malt with a nice sharp mouth body. good carbonation which makes it not to fizzy to drink. very little on the hops but it brings out what is good for an marzen style.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Elwood (1966) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. it pours a very nice amber color with a large off white head. The nose is pleasantly malty with some toast and white bread crust notes. There is a hint of oxidation as well. A touch sweet with caramel and bread notes dominating. I get a hint of what may have been grassy hops but now taste stale. Medium bodied with softer than average carbonation leading to a medium, slightly dry finish. Decent.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 5, 2011
Toasted, but somehow green (perhaps pistachios), marzen aroma. Absolutely terrible label - looks like a clown got thrown into a blender and the remains were sprayed on the entry sign to some German berg. Clear copper beer, tannish head. Clean, toasty, nutty-sweet and well-hopped flavor profile - very true to style. Drinkable and good. This would be a good pairing with any red meat or Italian pasta. Finishes out with a light sweetness and a woody bitterness. A strange but decent ride. ABC Liquors, Betton.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jow (902) - New York, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Sixes for Sunday NFL games. Pours brought copper with nice head. Tastes malty, of caramel, earth, with nice combination. Slight stickiness on palate but a decent Oktoberfest.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JDBaker11058 (677) - Maryland, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Appearance: reddish orange, with bronze to gold highlights; one-finger of tan head quickly shrinking to a collar; minimal lacing. Aroma: sweet toasty malts, with a hint of roast nuts and a whisper of metallic funk. Taste: sweet and toasty, with caramel and brown sugar over a bit of fresh-feeling hops. Finish: clean, short, crisp, slightly bitter, with a pleasant lingering toasty-sweet flavor remaining. Notes: A decent example of the style. Pretty to look at, with a good palate, average flavors, average aroma, and excellent finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 cmc619 (264) - USA - OCT 9, 2011
Pours a nice, deep bronze with a light tan head. Yummy candy malt aroma with herbal hop backbone. Palate is extremely soft--I maybe want a bit more "teeth." Flavor is light, with the typical festbier sweetness kept in check by a strong malt backbone. Well brewed, if subtle.
