COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Octoberfest is another palate-pleasing seasonal brew. Originally brewed in 1810 to celebrate the betrothal of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, Blue Point continues the celebration by traditionally brewing this special malty amber lager every October. Octoberfest lager is stored cold for 2 months to ensure its distinct smooth flavor. Tap a pint and celebrate the season!

12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours deeper golden with an off-white head. Aroma of some caramel and toasted malts and light, light hops. Flavor a little too much malts. Average texture. An ok beer.

Bottle at Crios. Poured a clear amber color, small white head. Aroma was some light sweet malts. Flavor was about the same with a touch of spicey grains, earthy hop notes. Okay.

Good easy drinking. Reasonably good drinking for style. Slight booze and some barley. German taste, they got the style right. Light bitter finish with some sourness. Bottle at Crios.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Medium amber-orange pour and a short lasting white head. A touch of toasted grain in the nose with clean hops but nothing that makes this stand apart from any other Octoberfest. Medium body. The taste is pretty ordinary. Toasted malts, sweet, mild bitter finish. But overall this is an average beer and there are so many better beers in this style out there.

Golden/brown with a think head and some lacing. Caramel and toffee in the flavor and nose. Tastes like your typical Oktoberfest. It’s easy drinking.

Lighter than most of the marzens. Flavors a little more subdued than others as well. Sweetness is too bad.

A dark gold/light copper beer with a moderate head that fades quickly. Smells of butterscotch. Sweet butterscotch/caramel flavor fades into toasty bitterness at the end.

Couleur ambrée, bonne mousse blanche. Nez malté, céréales. Gout malté doux, note foin et petite amertume. Pas trop mal pour une oktoberfest.
