Blue Point Brewing's Pale Ale has a light golden color but explodes with a rich full-flavor. This refreshing ale is top fermentated and hopped at three different stages of the brewing process. English pale malt lends complexity to this brew. Small amounts of Wheat and Carapils round out the malt bill. Brewed to satisfy the hop lover, this pale ale has an immediate floral-citrus flavor that pervades the overall character of this hoppy, quenching microbrew.

Aroma was just so so. Appearance was light yellow. Nice head that lasted. Flavor was kind of watered down, somewhat astrigent. Not quite what I expected from BP

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2011 Not likely fresh. Hop flavor almost non existant, just bitterness left behind. Mediocre.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2011 Bottle. Light golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, fruitiness and some bread - caramel, some grapefruit and citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some grapefruit and citrus hoppyness, some fruitiness and bread - caramel. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some fruitiness and grapefruit and citrus hoppyness, and faint bread - caramel. OK hoppyness, but bit too sweet and too much caramel considering the body.

Mediu, sized white head with good retention and nice lacing. Clear copper colored brew. Nose is gentle, subtle grainy malts, little fruity, light citrus and grass notes. Body is medium, little resin, lil oil. Tough hoppiness, raw, earthy, bitter with wussy caramel malty notes. An almost astringent finish, dry, grainy, rough. But still entertaining, too a certain degree. Toughy for a low ABV brew.

Poured from big bottle. Aroma of hops, malt and ocean. Copper, unusually big bubbles. Floral hops dominate, with a decent malt and yeast base. A good bit of carbonation and rye notes give this a dry feel. Slight smoke flavor noticed. Good finish. Well done.

6/10/11. Bomber courtesy PorterPounder! Clearish golden pour with a small off-white head. Floral, caramelly aroma with a sweet, malty flavor and a touch of metal and flowers. Meh.

Translucent gold with lasting white head, medium body and medium carbonation.

Pale malt, grassy hops. Slightly harsh and overall lacking.
