2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Overall, this pumpkin beer was too malty for me and ultimately didn’t have enough pumpkin flavors or spicing. It was copper colored and had a roasted malt taste that dominated. Fairly heavy. Not my fav.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The color is clear reddish orange. Spicy aroma with apple notes along with fall spices. The palate is a little light with a slight fake pumpkin feel. OK but not as great as other pumpkin beers.

Quite simple its not better than harpoon’s pumpkin. The taste is there but the aftertaste its bland and bitter... The malt overpowers the pumpkin taste

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma full of nutmeg and cinnamon. Light white head in top of an orange color, looks a little watery. Flavor is full of the spices, and the carbonation is a good complement to the lack of thickness. Spicy, yet light and refreshing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear amber color with thick off white head. Nose was bready and vegetable. Flavor was pumpkin/veggie, with some nutmeg and bread, with a wheaty finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours out a clear, orange-copper body with a couple inches worth of foaming, near white head. Little splotches of lacing on the way down.
Smell: Moderate aroma of toasted pumpkin meats (and cautiously toasted malts) overlayed with spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Taste: Very little pumpkin flavor carrying over to the final flavor (not that it was simply oozing out in the nose). Lightly toasty malts, some powdered sugar embellishments. Scant estery hints. Cinnamon powder and a little early nutmeg. Sweetish, spicy through to the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: An acceptable, middle-of-the-road pumpkin ale that’s not particularly memorable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
OK, this is going back to back with Harpoon UFO Pumpkin. The Blue Point goes first. Bad label, good cap, clear rusty orange brew with a filmy white head. Spicy, perfumy, sweaty aroma (sort of like nuzzling the Cinnabon cook) -- allspice/nutmeg, light vinegar. Peppery, spicy presentation, mostly dry/faintly sweet. Dry toast/cereal malting. I didn’t get the pumpkin, but I got all the stuff around the pumpkin when it’s in a pumpkin pie - spice, vanilla, even the crust. Faint diacetyl vapors here and there, muted cinnamon in the finish. Medium body. I have to admit, I hate pumpkin beer season -- the local beer purveyor gets new beers in which I’m obliged to rate, but I just don’t like pumpkin beer for the most part. This was pretty good, and didn’t have the squashy/gourdy thing going on. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane.
