3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beershine (4559) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Draft @ DRB. Nice warm copper, nice head and some lace. A very slight whisper of bubblegum or is that glue? is in the aroma but floral notes in the aroma are pleasant and earthy. The aftertaste is nutty and toasty, with enough breadiness to keep me happy. All in all not bad. Not the greatest rye beer but nice.

Copper color, medium head, decent lacing with modest sour (rye) aroma. Good bitter hop finish. More rye sour than barley sweet.

This is a great ryePA. The malt character comes through in the aroma as well as nicely balancing the hops and rye. It brings out my inna Rasta. Yeah Jah!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 cbfobes (1011) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear copper with a woapy white head and some lacing, the aroma is actually a little fruity with the rye coming through as well, the flavor has a good amount of citrus and hops mixed in with the rye, not bad.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 keanex (180) - Williamstown, New Jersey, USA - NOV 25, 2011
Poured from a 650ml bottle into a pint glass.
A: Slightly hazy pumpkin colored beer with carbonation bubbles rising to a very thin tan head.
S: Faint rye bread with a hint of a piney/tropical hops blend.
T: Clean but bland flavor overall, has a weak slight hops bite. As it warms up some sweetness comes out through the malts.
M: Medium body and fizzy carbonation.
O: I was expecting a lot more after this being recommended from me liking Hop Rod. I won’t buy this again.

On tap @ Lure’s, Crownsville Md-Amber pour w/a tan head. Malty aroma. Had some malt, some bread dough/rye flavor, some nuts, a little more hop than I prefer in a Rye Ale, felt the hop flavor just kind of muddled it up. I almost think of this style as being similar to a winter brew, this one really didn’t do it for me.
