22oz bottle served in a Sierra Nevada pint glass. (from 2011 notes) It pours a hazy reddish amber with a rather thin but durable off-white head. Ample, mostly fine carbonation can be seen. Aroma: plenty of caramel with some baked bread, light toasted grains, and hints of hops and rye. Nice if rather subdued. The taste is pretty balanced between sweet and bitter, with a good amount of hop flavor mid-taste, and leaving a mildly bitter and hoppy aftertaste. Rye is evident too. Not too complex but well done and with more than adequately rich flavor for style and some light fruitiness. Medium bodied; excellent carbonation; rather smooth with a hint of dryness. Mouthfeel is the only dimension where the higher ABV is evident. O - a fine session beer. Easily recommended to fans of rye beers. ... wait, I see the ABV is 7.5; it is well hidden in both aroma and taste, so be careful.

Copper pour with a white head. Rye and citrusy flavors, and some sweetness. It is a nice rye beer.

Bottle from Total Wine in Boca Raton, FL. Overall a very nice orange-haze pour into a tulip at home. Some white head and lacing. Good aroma of rye, bread, some floral sweetness. Taste is kind of sweet for a rye but not overdone. I get the rye, bread, fruits, light sweetness, and a somewhat dry finish. Nice finish with a hoppy rye flavor. Not bad.

Bottle from Plaza Liqour Store, Kissimmee, Florida. This is a hazy orange coloured beer with a sweet, juicy tangerine and orange flavour followed by sweet tropical notes, slight tartness and warmth on the finish.

Tap at Corrigans in St Pete. Smooth. Kinda fruity aftertaste for a rye beer . Personally liked it more than other reviewers

On tap at the Waterfront, New York on 9th July 2013. Slightly hazy amber with white ring of initially lacing foam. Yeastiness, hops and sweet malts in aroma. Hoppy with rear-mouth grassiness, while caramel malt clings to front of mouth. Bittersweet, well-balanced finish -bitterness among smoothly-blended flavours. Light carbonation, easy drinking for the strength.

On tap at the Knick. Really nice floral hoppy aroma, sweet with caramel and some brown sugar. Spicy rye grain notes. Hazy medium amber with thin off-white head. Medium body with heavy carbonation and carbonic fizz. Starts medium sweet with biscuit and toffee, light spicy character and decent floral hop flavor. Light sweet finish and smooth after.

Pours a dark amber with white head. Has a faint malty aroma. Has a slightly bitter, hoppy taste to start with a sweet, floral taste as well. Ends very malty
