Growler at Stony Brook Beverage! Amber pour with a medium , creamy off white head. the rye is more apparent in the flavor then the aroma. Kind of sweet, yet a bit dry. I enjoyed this and it fit the category of getting something different.

Medium to light orange, beautiful head that never stops and leaves a thick lace. Aroma is floral hops and light rye spiciness. Flavor is rye accented spicy malt with a floral hop finish. Maybe not mind bending over the top flavors, but everything balances nicely, making for an enjoyable beer.

This is a great ryePA. The malt character comes through in the aroma as well as nicely balancing the hops and rye. It brings out my inna Rasta. Yeah Jah!

Sampled on draft at D’s Monroeville this beer poured a vibrant orange-amber color with a large orange-white head that lingers. The aroma was strong sweet fruity hops with a faint spicy undertone. The flavor was strong sweet and bitter fruity hops with a piney element and a touch of dry spice in the middle. The finish was long, spicy and hoppy. The mouthfeel was fairly thick and a bit syrupy. Complex and well done.

Review from notes at World of Beer - Fort Myers on 11/10/11.
Poured on draft into a shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a medium gold/caramel color with a 1 finger off-white head. Nice lacing.
Smell: Sweet fruity hops with apricot dominating and an nice amount of sweet malt.
Taste: Sweet fruit up front with balanced malt in the middle before ending with grapefruit at the finish. Dry, bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. You could easily have a few of these over the course of an evening.
Overall: Nice beer overall. I would definitely drink this one again.

poured into glass from 22oz bottle, deep golden orange color, the aroma is slightly sour and doesn’t quite prepare for the huge piney taste of this beer. medium (oily?) body with a pleasing dense sourness, well-balanced by a hoppy bitter aftertaste. Excellent find.

The smell has a presence from the time you start the pour, but is not overwhelming. Putting your nose to the glass gives you a pleasantly hoppy aroma with a little bit of honey. The pour leaves a white head on top of a body that is clear, fizzy, and the color of red clay; sweet tea with a red tint. Super smooth taste that goes down easy and leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. The medium body leaves a lively sensation at the front of the tongue to work with the slightly bitter aftertaste on the back of your tongue. Aside from the feeling your tongue, it leaves a very clean finish. A very refreshing beer that leaves little to be desired. Definitely recommended.

Really cool bomber. Pours a lively deep copper body with a long lasting, thick cream colored head with great lacing. Aroma is nice lightly roasted malts, nuts, hops, some fruits. Background of citrus and pine, earthty. Flavor is a great balance of bitter hops and sweetness. Some grapefruit and nuts. Malty, medium to full bodied. Fresh! Very drinkable, no alcohol. Very solid beer.

Draught at my local watering hole. Pours copper with a tan head. Smells of rye, some pine, some peppery hints. Taste balances the rye and bitter hops nicely with a spicy bite on the finish.
