2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Black with a very thin tan head. Aroma is slight cherry and chocolate. Flavor is slight sour cherry with a chocolate malt underneath. A little astringent in the finish, and the body is rather thin. Aftertaste is somewhat burnt and roasted with a somewhat unpleasant sourness.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of chocolate, and candied cherries no hint of sour. Black body with a thin head of tan bubbles. Bitter coffe flavors along with some subtle chocolate. The cherries that were present were medicinal and not sour at all. A bit of a disappointment.

Bottle by Cuso. Aroma strong chocolate, alcohol, rather subtle fruitiness, cherry. Clear very dark colour. Nice brownish head. Cherry fully reveals itself in flavour, along with strong classic chocolatey dark flavours. Light roasted.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours very dark brown with a foamy and very leggy tan head. Aroma is coffee malts and a touch of plum. Taste is chocolate, coffee - more bitter malts- plum wine and, of course, a touch of cherry. Slightly sour bitterness in the aftertaste. Opens up with some warming. Interesting. Good.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Walnut aroma with faint plum. Black, thick tan head. Tree bark, sour plum, some vegetal notes. Medium body. Eh, I don’t like fruited stouts, and this one I particularly didn’t like.

I’ve had other Blue Point beers that I thought were good. I’m not crazy about this one. It’s got kind of a medicine taste.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours muddy, midnight black with decent tan head. Aroma is black cherry, dark chocolate, a bit of espresso. Taste is bitter/sour cherry right up front. It doesn’t develop any sweetness or real body. The malts kick in with a bit of the advertised chocolate/coffee, but it feels like a weird mix here.
