12oz bottle shared by nuplastikk. My first specialty grain rating. The bottle claims copper ale, and no mention of any odd grains, though rye seems to be the culprit here. A lasting light beige head sits atop a copper body. Spicy malt and light grassy hops in the aroma. Lightly toasty, almost chewy malt, some caramel, spicy but mild hops and a lightly bitter finish. Medium-light bodied with crisp but fine carbonation. balanced, pretty clean flavors and nice light malt character.

Bottle. Copper amber with little to no head. Nose is grain, light hops, honey. Similar, fairly bland and grainy flavor.

Blue Point Spring Fling Ale is a very clear amber ale with a thin white head that quickly fades to a film and leaves decent lacing. It smells sweet like malt with a little grassiness. It’s pretty light bodied and reasonably smooth with a very dry finish. It’s hoppier than I expected after smelling it. It’s pretty resiny and bitter without any noticeable sweetness. It tastes pretty wooden overall. This kind of seems like an ESB.

Pours a sharp and clean light amber with one finger of sandy tan head. Nose is bready with a light caramel-y sweetness. Slightly biscuity with some toasted grain and wet hay. Flavor leaves something to be desired. A little thin and watery with a slightly nutty quality. Dry and zesty finish. Meh.

Copper colour. The aroma is caramel, maybe with a little hop fruitiness. Boring, watery light caramely and barely any bitterness.

Bottle. As this pours into the glass I do a double take and then look again at the bottle. Yep... it definitely says "Spring Fling Copper Ale." I guess you could call it copper, but a really really pale copper... more of an amber. I take a sniff and come across an unconvincing mix of caramel and peppery spice notes, maybe with a little orange peel or something vaguely citrusy. Flavor is OK, but a kind of uninteresting amber ale type mix. Spicy hops up front, a little bit of caramel and biscuit in the midsection and a little bitter tang on the finish. Ho hum. Nothing to write home about here...

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate caramel, toffee, nuts, and a touch of honey. It pours a transparent amber with a creamy two finger white head that fades to a thin film within a minute or so. There’s is some decent webbing left behind on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of caramel followed by some light honey. The finish has some light nuttiness mixed with toasty and herbal notes. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s pretty much your standard Amber Ale...drinkable, but nothing too exciting.

Pours a coppery amber color. Has a nice malty flavor with some great bittery hopness. Pretty good flavors actually.. Wasn’t expecting it!!!!

Draft at good beer with Linh. Pours a golden body with white lacing. Aroma is boring - practically nothing here, maybe some honey and sweet malts. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of light honey, restrained hop character and bland malts.

Bottle pours a clearish glowing orange color. Medium white head that faded immediately. No lacing. Aromas of honey, mead, barley, overly spicy hops. Hard to finish. Very boring amber ale. Do yourself a favor and grab a nugget nectar instead!

Draft. Poureed clear amber color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate spice hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Flavor was moderate bittersweet with an average bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good soft brew.
