COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing's Summer Ale has a delicious golden taste. In addition to traditional barley malt; a substantial portion of wheat malt is added to the mix giving this brew a unique tartness that's not found in many beers today. A small amount of lemon is added with one other "special" ingredient that all combine together to produce a light, thirst-quenching, citrus flavor microbrew enjoyed by all on a hot, Long Island Summer day.

Bottle... Clear, hay-colored ale with a small, frothy, white head. Small, creamy, white head. Good retention and tall, thunderhead lacework. The flavor is well-balanced and mirrors the light aroma... strawy, citrusy and yeasty. Light-bodied and thin with fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, lightly bitter finish.

I like this beer. I brought it from home to some freinds in Philly, they werent impressed. I like it beacuse I could put it down quick and don’t have a problem drinking it all night. A little light, but quite alright.

a good summertime drink. not a lot of ’summer’ flavor -- but a good light brew when it’s ice cold coming out of a cooler

Light yellow golden, a bit watery in appearance. Taste was flat, thin. Overall an unimpressive beer. Might go better with some salty food.

Golden color with a small white head and some light lacing on the glass. Light citrus and sweet malt aroma. Nice and refreshing taste of sweet citrus. not overly complex though the refreshing qualities of this beer make it nice.

Poured a very clear yellow almost watery. Aroma was wheat and lemon and taste was very light with minimal hops and some minor spice. EEEH, not a lot going on here and much too light and watery.

A very average summer brew, nothing really special. Pours golden/straw with little head. Very faint hops aroma, with a little malt. Tastes mild, but oddly not very crisp. A little sweet malt and yeast on the pallette. Go for their toasted lager instead

Honestly, this seemed like a lager to me. The body was a pale straw color. Flavor was malty but bland, with little bite. Not too great compared to their other offerings I have tried.

Not an impressive beer, even if it is just a lighter, summer beer. Mildly hoppy and a tad malty, with a lot of yeastand wheatiness. Not much citrus, really, and it is really just too light for me.

Light - quenching - slightly lemony - decent hops for a summer ale - great for a bbq meal, but by itself it's a little on the bland side.
