COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing's Summer Ale has a delicious golden taste. In addition to traditional barley malt; a substantial portion of wheat malt is added to the mix giving this brew a unique tartness that's not found in many beers today. A small amount of lemon is added with one other "special" ingredient that all combine together to produce a light, thirst-quenching, citrus flavor microbrew enjoyed by all on a hot, Long Island Summer day.

On tap. Pours a pale yellow color with a finger of white head. Aroma of lemon zest and wheat. Taste is grainy, with some lemon/citrus notes.

Have had other Blue Point winners. This one is not. Weak and bland and not what you would expect from a craft brew. Reminiscent of a mass production bargain domestic... without the taste. Iím still searching for any recognizable taste. Sorry to be harsh... not sorry to warn others of itís lack of... well... everything.

Draft at the Coffee District in Delray Beach, FL. American pint glass. Thick white head on a yellow non-hazy pour. Aroma was mild with barley malts and corn. Taste was light and lacking much flavor. I did get the lemon but it had some of the corn taste of an American domestic cheap lager. Finished mild. Mediocre at best.

22 ounce sample on tap at JFK airport. The aroma is pretty bland...not much here other than corny DMS. Not so great aroma. Transparent yellow-blonde body with a medium fizzy white head present. Starts with metallic hints before this becomes full of corn and DMS. No bitterness. Tastes like some shitty pale lager or something. Yuck.

Excellent local summer beer now easily accessed in cans. Nice and east to have a few of these at the end of a long hot day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I was expecting the worst and got something a little better. Pleasant aroma, average pour, and a half way decent taste. I like the clean crispiness up front but the finish leaves some to be desired. Itís certainly a light (almost too light for my tastes) summer brew that could possibly quench oneís palate or a hot day. Alright.

Pours a clear golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head and light lacing. Aroma of faint bready malt and corn adjunct. Taste follows, thin and easy to drink, but no real flavor. I suppose it is a summer beer.

Draft at Momo's. pale golden pour with a thin wispy white head. Light estery yeast and fruit pebbles in the aroma with grainy pale malts. Sweet yeast up front fading into skunky grains with touches a grass. Pass.

On tap in the lounge at JFK. Light golden colour with a decent white head. Vaguely sweet, hint of grain must be the wheat, some of the same metally feelas the Toasted Lager (maybe the serving system?), a touch fruity, somewhat loose and flabby in the finish. Not great.

Medium yellow color, medium bodies. Not very hoppy. Doesnít have a bites after taste. A decent summer beer to " have a few" . Wonít be my regular choice
