Blue Point Brewing’s Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Geruch nach frisch gemahlenem Getreide. Geschmack malzig, im Nachtrunk dann relativ bitter und astringierend.

A nice classic Vienna lager, pours an orange-tinged amber color. Slightly toasty and caramel malt on the nose, likewise in the taste. A few floral hop notes, summery citrus. More sugary sweet caramel maltiness than anything else in the flavor profile, not in the same league as Brooklyn lager but not a bad rendition of the style. Smooth and clean finishing, just a decent table lager.

Bottle at World of Beer, Savannah (bottled Feb 19, 2015). Head is initially small, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow to light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (horse feed, wort, husks), lightly hoppy (apricot). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky, unclean. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Hilariously awful raw malt aroma...like some of the worst non-alcoholic beers you can think of...smells completely unfermented. Only a bit of hops barely saves it. Similarly raw and dirty in the aftertaste. At least it gets some credit for making me laugh on an otherwise mediocre day of beer sampling.

Bottle at barbecue.more like a light pale ale than a lager, on the hoppy and slightly sticky side. Notable lemon and biscuit notes. Good though

Pours cleat light orange with a half finger white head with just a little lacing. Aroma is of citrus, toasted bready malts, sweet malts, lighy pine, and light grassy hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a slightly bitter, medium finish. Overall, a very nice, easy drinking Vienna.
