COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing’s Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

On tap and in bottle. Nice mix of malts which makes for a very drinkable lager.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange/yellow with nice white head that lingers with initial cake icing lace. Smell is caramel malts, crisp grains. Taste is caramel malts, light fruitiness. Smooth if hotly creamy finish. Not too shabby.

Strong, malty aroma has a fruity overtone and a resiny hint. Pours a nice clear amber with a very thick cream-white head. Malty flavor has fruity and hoppy hints, nothing to write home about but still satisfying. Smooth texture is fairly firm but has just a little fizz. Maybe not their best, but heck, make a toast with it!

12 ounce bottle, one of my buddies picked up a single of this for me on a trip out of town. Served in a pilsener glass, the beer pours a clear dark gold color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like toasted malt, toffee, and some bready/grainy malt. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there’s also the addition of a bit of honey. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit creamy and has moderate carbonation. It’s also smooth and easy to drink. I think it’s a solid brew, I wouldn’t mind trying this again in the future.

Not much of any nose. It’s very drinkable and has a nice crispness from the carbonation. Bit of an alcohol aftertaste, but that’s to be expected.

A hint of sweetness which is not overbearing. Toasty after taste was a nice change. Smooth finish leaving you wanting more.

[355ml bottle] Coppery brown with a small white head, which diminishes pretty quickly. Faint, grassy aroma. On the taste, some corn – but mostly bready, slightly sweet malt flavours. Not much hop in evidence, it gets progressively sweeter. Despite all this, it’s not that bad – a decent session lager (in the American way) [22112012]

Toasted Lager has very little aroma to speak of but a nice head upon the initial pour that dissipates quickly. Initial taste is a nice hop flavor that lingers after the swallow which goes down with a pronounced maltiness one would not expect from a lager style. I’ve had this one on draft, and the "toasted" part comes through better than when from the bottle. Toasted Lager is a nice drinking session beer overall that would go nice with most meals.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color with very little head and lacing. Not much of an aroma but very smooth with a good balance between the malt and hops. A very good lager and a very drinkable beer. Cheers!!

Amber in color with a bland almost nonexistent aroma. Provides an off-white head, which is light even with the most vigorous pour. The toasted name refers to the flavor dirived to the direct-fire brewing techniques. This lager has a nice wheat/grain front complimented by a smooth smokey finish that sits well on the palette. Would be great with BBQ or smoked ribs.
