COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing’s Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2004 Fairly large head and pours to a deep copper color. Has a very hoppy smell yet goes down pretty smoothly. For being a lager it is very light and drinkable.

Beautiful deep copper color with white head. Aroma has some malt and hops but is very subdued. Taste is balanced and clean with a dry finish. A very drinkable beer with enough character to make it enjoyable.

Good offering from Blue Point who are doing a bang up drink ’em up job. Couldn’t discern all the multi malts, but a slightly sweet taste where you can find the "toastiness." Not as seasoned as Brooklynn’s, but perhaps with time ...

Poured a light copper color with a small and quickly diminishing white head and no lacing. Toasty, caramel malt, and dried hop aroma. Taste of caramel, nuts, dry finish, very light hops.

Bottle, best before Dec. ’04. Malty, sweet caramel aroma, faintly buttery and has some toasty breadiness and lightly spicy, earthy hop as well. Light coppery color, clear, with a fine, greatly subsiding head. Flavor is malty, more sweet caramel/toffee, becoming tangy midway and with a very lightly bitter finish, which also leaves a sugary and again toasty impression. Palate is thin, smooth and lightly carbonated, body is light-medium. Quaffable.

Copper bronze color with some brief sticky head & lacing. The aroma is toasty with some biscuity malts & light herbal hops. The flavor is dusty, tart & dry, not very freshing for a lager but has lots of flavor. Thanks to <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=1 for the birthday beers!

Tasted in NYC. Tasted at Brewtopia 04. Colour is a nice amber hue with a light white head. Aroma is sweet. Flavour is of light fruit, apricot with a slightly floral finish.

Sustaining white head leaving a lot of laceing with a polished copper body. Malty bread, fruit, grain, with a hit of hop in the mouth. Long bready finnish with a little hop biterness sowing its self. Good with lunch, Thanks Mike.

Attractive orangey gold with a full foamy head. Unfortunately the effervescence quickly subsided leaving a flat appearing lager in the glass, although the head remained. Aroma mildly of hops, musty and grassy. Flavor is rather mild and unremarkable, I don’t see what the fuss is all about. Not as complex as the grain bill suggests. A bit caramelly, touch of buttery malt sweetness. Mainly empty in the malt department though, with a firm hoppy finish.
