Bottle (12oz). Poured clear amber-gold with a decent white head. Aroma slightly vegetal, but mostly a pleasant mild blend of light roast malt, dry hops and generic (non-corn) grain. Taste is pretty lively, sharp, I can taste the hops (orange juice, fairly fresh) and malt! Very nice toasty lager - and I usually hate lagers. Refreshing.

Deep amber colored with a medium sized white head. Sweet aroma of toasted bread with a hint of bubblegum. Flavor is nutty and toasty, with a pretty decent hops presence that wasn’t immediately apparent in the nose. Well balanced and highly drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 frylock (1127) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 7, 2005
Amber body with a frothy white head. As expected, some toasted malt is present in the aroma along with some light hops. Some lighlty sweet malts initially followed by a dry toasty character and a touch of hops in the finish.

GABF ’05. Clear golden body, white head. Esters, butter, flowers and strawberries in the aroma. This is a lager? Butter caramel malt flavor with pilsenerish hops at the end.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 shadey (1756) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 13, 2005
Orange amber color with a small white soapy ring. The aroma is very lightly roasted malt. Just enough to get that "toasty" aroma without anything heavier emparted. The flavor is more balanced with the hop character shining through. A very nice, drinkable beer. I am enjoying Blue Point immensely.

Hey, I hope everyone had a few more than one bottle of this beer. I think it flies under the radar because of its generic packaging, but I had it in Montauk NY in April with a dozen and 1/2 of oysters and it smoked!

Bottle. from Julio’s. Purchase before Jan 06.
Ok nose, sweet. Honey, grass, sourdough, lemon, but I have to dig to get them. Clean orange color, good head that faded quickly to a ring. Biitersweet flavors. Like aromas, but stronger. Notable caramel flavor , maybe it’s the wheat.. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, Crisp bittersweet finish. Easy to drink brew,
