4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wow, I loved this lager. It poured a dark blonde basically a light brown with a foamy tan head. The aroma is initially sour musty with a sweet fruity background followed by a oaky vanilla flavor. The taste is fantastic, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, sugar cookies are all upfront with a pungent spicy lemon citrus background for balance. This is a playful lager that tantalizes the palate with sweet and funky notes.

I live in patchogue, and it really makes me happy that something so good comes from here. Way better than any of the generic beer brand at a great price. Smooth, drinkable and just damn good. Blue point brewing is a small place on a back road here in patchogue close to the shore of the great south bay.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz bottle. Pours a golden color with a small white fizzy head that receedes to nothing. Nose is grassy and honey sweetness. Palate is thin, watery, and tingly. Flavor is honey, sugars, light vienna malt notes.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Nice orange color with a thick and fluffy white head. Aroma is light and malty with some hops under it. Taste begins with a malty sweetness then goes to a nice and balanced hop and malt middle and a semi-bitter hoppy finish. Aftertaste has a pleasant malt flavor to it.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very grainy, corny, dry aroma. Taste of dry wheat husks. Very light. A pretty boring beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle (best before 1/06) from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/massachusetts/w target=blank>Julio’s Liquors) Pours a somewhat hazy autumn orange with a very big foamy off-white head that takes forever to settle. Aroma is some sweet maltiness, a little bready, hint of pumpkin perhaps. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, pleasant, good lager backbone. Flavor is mild but basically some sweetish malt is all that I found. Maybe this bottle was a bit past its prime but this beer was on the bland side.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle courtesy of shadey. Fiery transparent amber with tan head that fades to ring almost instantly. Aroma very muted, light toasted grainand faint caramel. Flavor exactly as aroma indicates, with tiniest bit of hop esters in the finish. Very easy drink just very subdued. Probabaly a really good crossover beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. Aroma of slight hops, sweet malts, and slight smokeyness. Flavor is malty, sweet, slight notes of smokyness, slight bitter finish, nothing great here, but not bad. Forgetable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was an above average vienna in my book. Murky, burnt caramel colored beer. Nose has a nice acrid smokiness that is subtle. Roasted grains. Melba toast and a little bit of gorgonzola. Flavors reflect this with a nice hop floralness in the backpalate. An interesting interpretation of the style.
