COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing’s Toasted Lager is our flagship product. Copper in color this brew is made from Six different malts including: English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager displays a balanced flavor of malt and hop which makes it easy drinking. Special lager yeast is used to produce that long lasting, smooth finish. The "toasted" part of the name refers to our direct-fire brew kettle; hot flames imparts a toasted flavor to our most popular microbrew.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange/yellow with nice white head that lingers with initial cake icing lace. Smell is caramel malts, crisp grains. Taste is caramel malts, light fruitiness. Smooth if hotly creamy finish. Not too shabby.

Light tan pour, quick tan head. Nose is roasted grain. More sweet than bitter. Middle is honey and light roasted grain. Finish is slightly dry with a grain hint.

12 oz. bottle. Pours copper, with a medium, beige head. Aroma of caramel, pecans, light raspberries, black pepper, and apple. Sweet, with a light, mellow bitterness. Light to medium body, smooth, crisp, and sticky. This is a surprisingly flavorful and delicious beer. Smooth, light and drinkable, but with a lot going on.

Bottle at home. High creamy and lasting white head. Clear amber body. Sweet and flowery straw bisquit aroma. Highly carbonated relatively sweet straw bisquit flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness and a short finish.

Appearance- big bone white head that lasted a good bit. Not much lacing. Lots of bubbles/carbonation. Clear honey gold. Nice to look at. Smell- clean, malty. Slightly pungent. Taste- toasted malt (the name don’t lie!), biscuity, feint hops. Mouthfeel- light, crisp, well carbonated. Creamy. Overall- I’m not much of a lager guy, leaning heavily toward ales and more complex beers, but this was a very solid easy drinker. Most enjoyable. Great with food (wings, pizza, burgers) or on its own. Would have again and recommend. Cheers!

Bottle. Light amber color, no head or lacing. Aroma of caramel. Taste is too bitter and too light. Not very interesting.

Transfer from BA review on 12-1-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a golden amber color with a two finger white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading eventually to give a medium level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is light overall and consists mainly of a grainy and lightly toasted aroma mixed with a little bit of brown sugar. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and roasty flavor. Up front there is a lighter brown sugar taste as well. While present, the sugar is light and it dries out quickly to leave a rather drier taste. As the sugar flavors dwindle more roasted flavors come to the tongue. A light caramel flavor however begins working its way into the tongue. In the end a toastier bready and lightly sweetened flavor are left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner to medium side with a carbonation level that is rather average. Good for the style, but nothing exceptional. Overall – A decent lager. It has a nice more roasted flavor with a decent semi-sweet, then drier, then semi-sweet profile. Nothing to exceptional, but rather easy drinking and at least worth one try.
