HighlanderOne (439), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Jan 19, 2008 Poured from bottle (1/2008). Rye / barley aroma. Medium amber with coarse, persistent head. Has that toasted, maybe a bit burnt, malt flavor with hops in the aftertaste. Has a dry bite to it at first feel, but has a somewhat creamy back feel. Mellows at finish. A bit odd, but not bad.
McGarnigle (148), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 19, 2008 Bottle drink by Oct 08. Clear amber/copper, fading white head. This isn’t too adventurous for a lager. Comes across as just a more competent version of a standard American lager. Not really toasty; not that hoppy. Clean and crisp, though. Tessic (365), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jul 8, 2008 This lager poured a golden colour with a nice thick, creamy white head. There are scents of roasted grain, hopps and grass. First taste was smooth and creamy for a lager. Not sharp to the palate at all. Mild carbonation with a nice hoppy flavour and a slightly bitter finish. Grassy palate. sleepylopes (264), New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 standard in most respects. Re beer has an intresting efervescence and that is where the toast is, in the early nose and on the tounge before a sip. Smooth with a decent finish and carb. kevin62 (226), New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 Had this many times, both on draft and in the bottle, figured I should finally rate it.The pour is a nice amber-brown color with a small beige head.Aromas were of malt and light fruit. The taste had caramel, malt and honey.medium body.Great beer in a pinch! blipp (599), Grand Island, New York, USA Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aroma is caramel/honey, a bit of fruit, and earthy hops. Medium body. Lightly sweet flavor, with honey, fruit, and earth. Actually not that bad. Much better than I expected.
