4.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Poured into a shaker pint glass from a 16 oz Can. Tight, light amber head. Nice brewer’s lacing. Color is deep mahogany. True to style. Ibu approx. 70. Very drinkable Black IPA. Can graphics reminiscent of an energy beverage. Branding stinks. Deserves a better presentation.

Big fucken can @ home, thanks to BoostIPA. Deep burgundy orange appearance with a foamy brown head. Minty, chocolate, burnt malty nose. A touch of butterscotch. Body is a bit flabby. Lots of toffee and burnt sugar. Pretty bitter flavor. Disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can-purchased at total wine in Springfield, VA
Pours dark brown hue with a small soapy kacki head. nose is woody, almost like tree bark, lite piney hops, but lots of burnt wood notes. flavors are alot like the nose-lots of fresh woody notes-chocolate, hops, firm woody bitterness. not as assertive as i would like my black ipas to be. however, it does not have that copper penny note that alot of beers in this style tend to have. body is very lite, almost watery at times. This is an average take on this style. no off flavors though so i cant complain about that.

Can. Pours a brown color with white head. Roasty, minerally, toast aromas. Roasty, earthy, slight metallic, herbal flavors. Meh.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The best black ipa Ive had yet. 16oz can into a large pilsner glass, pours a cola brown, red amber highlights, cherry coke reminiscant, and visable thoughout, a nice new appearance for a black ipa, rather than the midnight black. Aroma is pine, bitter melon, tart candy, and a hop filed. Taste is sweet hops, an enjoyable bitterness that cleans up rather quickly and then ushers in the fresh hops and melon tangents. The drinkability of this one is superb, not as dark and down as most black ipas, this one leaves a lager freshness and smooth finish with the hop malt balance, it is really a very well balanced brew. Finally a black ipa I will want to go after each time I see it. Excellent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I usually do not care for IPAs. I decided to order one with a flight at the British Beer Company. I was surprised by how well balanced it was. The hops were floral with notes of pine resin. The malts were very rich and well balanced with the hops. A full flavored beer worked very without being overpowering.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16oz can. Pours a dark reddish brown with a tan head. Slight hop aroma. Sweet malt flavors of dark fruits and chocolate. Much sweeter and maltier than the usual IPA but still pretty tasty and easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pleasantly grassy and also kind of nutty. Dark, reddish brown as opposed to black. Moderate bitter, finishes with a lasting chocolate-fruit sweetness. Much sweeter than many examples. Also has a smoother feel too it. A most approachable version of a dark IPA. Nice charitable tie in too.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours almost pitch black with a finger of brown foam that coats the sides of the glass. Aroma is nicely hoppy, with grassy and earthy tones.
First sip has a rush of plum sweetness quickly followed by a nice earthy hop flavor. Finishes bitter, but not tongue curling. There is substantial body and residual sweetness to this brew, which helps balance the hop flavor and bitterness quite nicely.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
16oz can. Nice large off-white head of fine and dense bubbels. Light milk chocoalte, roasted grains, a hint of ginger and some light piney hops. Color is a dark brown with a touch of red. Moderate malty body with some toasted bread, light chocolate malts, licorice and some floral and herbal flavors. Moderate bitterness but melds very well with the malt body and other flavors. Extreamly easy drinking and goes down welcomingly. My only gripe is that I don’t have any more. I could drink this stuff every day. So smooth and delicious. Yummy!!

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma - the aroma isn’t overly present. Sort of disappointing. What I did discern was hops of course, dark malts, and a little roast.
Appearance - appearance is jet black, with a thin white head that dissipates and turn into a halo. The beer also has a lacing that follows down the glass.
Taste - the taste has rich dark malts, and well balanced hops.
Palate - the feel is medium in body, ranging from creamy to slick in feel. The finish is nicely bitter, not over the top.
