3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DSG (3927) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - NOV 4, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow color with a medium white head. Aroma of floral and citric hops, wheat, coriander, citrus peels and some yeasty fruitiness. Sweetish fruity flavor with some spiciness and a bitter finish with some floral hops. Medium-bodied. Pretty nice and refreshing.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GT2 (5659) - Riverslime, California, USA - NOV 2, 2012
Tap at Rustico Alexandria. Pours clear golden. Large, frothy white head. Huge webby and sheety lacing. Nose is muted Belgian yeast, lemon peel, orange. Taste is creamy, very soft carbonation. Some alcohol and spicy yeast character. Not a lot of bitterness to warrant white IPA vs just a Belgian ale. But very soft, drinkable, simple with no cloying.

tap. deep golden with very small head. belgian elements seem a bit over the top, making this seem slightly unbalanced. not bad though.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 shonobiwan (178) - Sound Beach, New York, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Long Island, NY - 12 oz. can poured a hazy golden color with medium white head and slight lacing. I'm general skeptical about hybrid brews but Blue Point came through on this one. Aroma is hoppy but sweet like a wit. Taste is overwhelmingly hoppy but the wheat comes through. A good hybrid!

The white IPA combines the aroma and delicious bitters if an IPA with a subtle sweetness of orange and lemon peel from a wit beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Svesse (5197) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 1, 2012
(Canned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 23 Sep 2012) Golden colour with lasting, frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit), grass and a slightly sourish wheat character. Fruity, hoppy, wheaty taste with citrus, lemon peel, grapefruit, grass and a slightly soapy wheat character. Fresh citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness.Quit pale-ale-ish, but still with lots of wheat character. Nice one.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (6956) - London, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2012
Can in CT, morning after the wedding. Pours mostly clear gold with a fine, white foam head. Very subtle aroma, some floral and herbal hops. Light to medium sweet flavour, decent grassy hops, some dry citrus, faint pale and toasty malts, hay, lemon, wheat. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Some earthy bitterness to finish, grass and dirt, mild dry citrus, hay. Basic but pretty good overall.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mjs (3609) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 21, 2012
(Can, 0.355 l - canned July 14 2012, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20120921) The beer poured pale golden and a little bit hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had hops, pine, coriander, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, pine, coriander, grass, malts and bitterness. Afertaste was fruity, sweetish and bitter. An interesting brew. I was expecting this one to be a hoppy wit but it was more like an IPA with some wit characteristics. Not my favourite hybrid style based on this one example but not bad either.
