COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Remaining at the forefront of experimentation, the brewers at Blue Point have produced a white beer/IPA hybrid that is well on its way to creating a new style for the beer description books. Our White IPA is an unfiltered European-style white ale with a fresh American IPA finish. Brewed with malted and unmalted wheat and just the right amount of west coast hops, it’s fermented with German yeast to give it a perfectly balanced character with less bitterness than traditional IPAs.

Draft. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid smooth citrus and earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium citurs bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew

Can. Hazy gold pour, white head, good retention/lace. Aroma of orange/lemon peel, wheat, citrus, spicy yeast. Taste is moderately bitter, grassy/citrus hop, spicy yeast, wheat malt. Palate is soft, creamy, bitter finish. More of a pale ale than an IPA.

Enjoy most of Blue Pointe beers. White IPA is clear and crisp. While it is mildly hoppy, it has a nice citrus aroma and taste. It smells as it will be a more biting hop taste but is quite mild.

Cloudy straw color, with average body and head. Citrus hops in aroma. Subdued hop flavor, and bitterness in after-taste.

Really good beer. I am loving there take on the new style of wheat IPAs. The aroma is very citrus hop forward which is great. The base and body is noticeably wheat.

Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow color with a medium white head. Aroma of floral and citric hops, wheat, coriander, citrus peels and some yeasty fruitiness. Sweetish fruity flavor with some spiciness and a bitter finish with some floral hops. Medium-bodied. Pretty nice and refreshing.

Tap at Rustico Alexandria. Pours clear golden. Large, frothy white head. Huge webby and sheety lacing. Nose is muted Belgian yeast, lemon peel, orange. Taste is creamy, very soft carbonation. Some alcohol and spicy yeast character. Not a lot of bitterness to warrant white IPA vs just a Belgian ale. But very soft, drinkable, simple with no cloying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

tap. deep golden with very small head. belgian elements seem a bit over the top, making this seem slightly unbalanced. not bad though.
