3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Canned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 23 Sep 2012) Golden colour with lasting, frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit), grass and a slightly sourish wheat character. Fruity, hoppy, wheaty taste with citrus, lemon peel, grapefruit, grass and a slightly soapy wheat character. Fresh citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness.Quit pale-ale-ish, but still with lots of wheat character. Nice one.

12oz can, which I’m pretty sure I got from Perfect Pour. Split with Robotopera in between wake boarding sets. Zesty, citrus taste up front. Some belgian yeast. Hard to judge color from the metal cup. Looks kind of amber,w ith a good bubbly off-white head leaving good thicker lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lightly soft, kind of tingly lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Kind of zesty spicy light to moderate sweet taste. Light bitter. Hint of metallic. OK white IPA.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
From can to cold glass. Very faint hay-smelling, slightly citrus aroma. Pale, hazy straw colored with minimal head. A very neutral flavor that gets better as it gets warmer. The wheat beer influence can be felt but the aftertaste is all IPA. The palate is pretty average and even a little flat along with a mediocre finish. Not much to write home about.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
While not groundbreaking, this is a different and very solid beer! It pours gold w/ a white head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is hoppy w/ some sweetness blended in. The taste is sweet up front but finishes w/ some IPA bitterness. It has a little bit of a Belgian flavor going on. It’s remarkably well balanced. I kinda dig this one!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Fun little hybrid. Aroma is of spice, floral, and citrus. Taste kind of orangey and spicy, but with some interesting hop presence. I lighter body than most IPA’s, so it goes down easily with little bitterness. A pretty cool idea.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Floral hops, yeast, and buttery salted crackers. Nearly clear yellow, slight haze. Certainly bitter, although the standout flavor is a sweet pale malt. Blue Point does explain it like a witbier, but was not expecting such a classic Belgian ale profile. Plenty of fruity nonsense on finish. Smooth medium body. Has a little hop sting which is the only reason to call it IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy yellow pour with a properly sized white head. Aroma is yeasty, with bisquit and very light citrus. Nice creamy mouthfeel, good carbonation. Musty, yeasty flavor. Banana, spice, toast, slight citrus notes towards the finish. Unique. Excellent body.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at Rattle N Hum. Hazy straw color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, hops and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of yeast, hops and banana. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Nice beer. More white style than IPA. Wouldn’t call it IPA at all actually. I like the hybrid idea. Will drink again

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
canned; from Mondial de la Bière in Mulhouse 2013 - light hazy blond beer with a quite persistent white foam; nice lacework; light citrusy and almondy hoppiness, notes of raisins; quite full-bodied and rounded, fairly carbonated, light astringency, dry and fairly bitter, more hoppy notes of lemongrass and berries ina charming and refreshing conclusion - subtle yet full of character

Orange breads under a massive white head that fades lacy, patchy, and rocky. Swirls bubbly and patchy.
Lemon oils and green grass blades. Crispy white crackers and wheat crisps underneath. Aloe and agave in the back. Sweet Hawaiian rolls. Dew-drops. Key lime and grapefruit oils.
Orange oils followed by orange peel with grass, straw, and bread crusts on top of the tongue. Lemon and grapefruit oils. Deliciously soft chewy bready mouthfeel kissed with just enough sweetness. Fresh agave. Fresh orange slices. Pine and mint in the back.
To date this is still my favorite White IPA and judging by how hard it is to get ones hands on a bottle (or can) when the beer is released proves I am not the only one. Deliciously vibrant and sessionable. The best Blue Point beer yet.
