Pint. Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet, spicy. Clean golden orange.color, good head and lace. Sweet flavor. Lite body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, sweet spice.finish. huh aroma is much better than flavor, flavor just doesn’t have the ooomph of the aroma. Oh well.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, hops, tropical fruit, fruit, chamomile, and a hint of yeast. Poured yellow/gold with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, flowers, hops, yeast, and fruit. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium sweet, lightly bitter, hops, fruit, tropical fruit finish is lightly dry.

Cask. Pours a murky yellow. Aroma is tons of citrus and tons of hops. Taste is nice and mild, very, very drinkable. Very little bitterness compared to a lot of the hops ipas out there. Gotta try more from these guys.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Draft… Cloudy yellow ale with a large, fluffy, white head that never fully dissipates. The bouquet is a monastic, bastardy blend of fruity Belgian esters and spicy Belgian phenols intermingled with a copious amount of PNW and dank, funky hops. Medium to full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. The flavor is pleasant and well-balanced, although I could do without the clove phenol. Everything else is good here. Finishes crisp and a touch spicy, but mostly clean. American IPA meets Belgian wit. Basically, a bastardization of two styles I’m not fond of. Stop the white IPA madness now!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 theisti (2441) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Plastic pint draft at the brew pub in Patchogue, New York. The pour is a hazed golden light orange, with a smallish off white head. The aroma is citrus peach, light wheat grain and a pleasant soft Belgian yeastiness. The taste bursts with fresh citrus fruit, the light peach sweetness, a nice mild toast malt and finishes with interesting floral yeast notes. The palate is really crisp, medium to light bodied, pleasant unfiltered mouth feel. Tasty stuff.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Flowery hoppy and wheaty aroma with some light citrus notes. The flavor has citric hops, wheat, lightly sweet malts, and flowery hops. I don’t know why more people haven’t hopped onto the whole "wheat IPA" train, very accessible for new craft drinkers and delicious for the vets. Good stuff right here.

Tap @ FG w Erica. This is a light-bodied, zesty, yeasty, and hop-laden witbier that is a beautiful blend of styles. Sharp golden pour with a lot of splotchy lacing on the shaker glass. Sharp, fresh, piney aroma. I feel like I got this in San Diego or something - so fresh.

I was one of the first to taste this publicly last August at the Mickey Hart show at the brewery. Finally found it again at the NYC Craft Beer Festival. The nose was very yeasty with banana esters, tangerine, clove, very wheaty, medicinal. Smooth palate, hoppy and spicy finish. Feels too estery, possibly flawed, I’m undecided, but I need more than a 1 oz. taste.
