COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing’s Winter Ale is a hearty and robust amber ale. Brewed to chase away the chill of a cool winter night. Made with Pale, Vienna, crystal and chocolate malt. This uncommon amber is only brewed during the cold months of the year. Winter Ale is an extremely popular seasonal specialty. Enjoy the tasty balance of malt and hops. Remember this special ale leaves with Winter.

Bottle at Quotations during our annual outing for the 12 beers of Christmas. Very malty beer with light hints of molasses. Not a bad dark beer at holiday time.

Backlog bottle thanks to so many good ratebeerians. The smell is malts, candy, and blah. The look is clear, off white head, and orange in color. The taste is grains, sweet, and caramel.

Hearty and earthy caramel aroma...the classic amber scent. Dark red brown color. Intensely sweet malt taste, and notably strong. Heavy, thick body one can gnaw on for a while. Not an American amber so much as a peaty mix of heavy English and Scotch ales.

16 ounce sample at New York SportsGrill in JFK Airport. The aroma has some roasted malt character and some light caramel and toffee notes. Mostly hazy amber-mahogany body with a small, creamy, light tan head. Starts with sweet, chewy slightly roasted malts. Chewy toffee and caramel are also present. Finishes lightly vinous. Super malty. I’d call this a baby barleywine. Good stuff.

Draft. Bitter ale. Not much caramel. Interesting malt bill. Can't say I care too much for it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear dark brown with a foamy off white head. Notes of cocoa and berry with a subtle bready ness. Taste is maple cocoa and bittersweet cherries. Mouthfeel is slick and full. Aftertaste leaves a lingering bitter and tart finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
