COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blue Point Brewing’s Winter Ale is a hearty and robust amber ale. Brewed to chase away the chill of a cool winter night. Made with Pale, Vienna, crystal and chocolate malt. This uncommon amber is only brewed during the cold months of the year. Winter Ale is an extremely popular seasonal specialty. Enjoy the tasty balance of malt and hops. Remember this special ale leaves with Winter.

Deep amber color with thin white head. Aroma of roasted malts and caramel. Flavor was caramel malts, some toffee, and roasted grains. Sweet, but with a slightly dry finish. Not bad for an amber ale, but not quite a winter ale.

Pours clear amber with a nose; f mostly Vienna and no hops. Palate is big Vienna up front and a little hop bitterness to finish. A big winter maltbomb.

Undated 12 oz bottle served in a Trois Pistoles snifter. A: The beer is a deep reddish brown color with some fine looking carbonation bubbles, all covered by a good sized off-white head. The head reduces to a lasting partial coat and ring, and plenty of lacing is left on the glass. S: The aroma features sweet malts, with a good bit of caramel, and traces of hops and light floral and smoke notes. T: The taste is a step towards an imperial amber, with flavors of darker roasted malts than usual, Some coffee and smoke in the finish and aftertaste. M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, slightly dry finish. O: Light in body and ABV for a winter seasonal, with the alcohol very well hidden, it’ is darker and richer than average for an amber ale.

Very drinkable ale....pours dark amber with a decent beige head, that sticks around for a while. Nothing bitter or bold...not sure I would say that it was robust, nor would chase a way a cool winter night....not a bad brew though...

Wonderful looking brew. Good pour with a dark amber color, white head, and good lacing. Not really my style when it comes to taste and aroma becuase I’m a hop guy. Good beer.

A fair beer, amber color, spicy hop nose and flavors, somewhat cookieish malts, well balanced and drinkable. Nothing stands out here, doesn’t shout, just drinks.
