12 OZ bottle via Slob (thanks!).Pours black with small tan head. Nose is mostly roasted malts, coffee and a bit of chocolate. Taste is the same with a wonderful bittersweet aftertaste. THere are some hops in the finish but they are subdued and balance this out quite nicely. Medium body. Not sure, but there may be some subtle oats in here as well? In any case this is a wonderful stout. And i usually hate dry stouts, so have to say this is the best dry stout i have had.

12 oz bottle, via slob. Pours a clear dark black colored body with some chestnut on the edges, under a small fizzy light brown head that receded quickly. Aroma is very roasty, but not burnt, with lots of chocolate, coffee, and licorice. Light notes of rye, and alcohol. Flavor is very roasty again, with no astringency. Coffee, anise, alcohol, and caramel emerge mid swallow and shine in the fiunish. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with an oily texture and moderate fizzy carbonation. This was pretty darn good overall, much better than I expected. Basic and straightforward, but solid.

Courtesy of Springslicker. Thank you, Jay. Aroma is roast, coffee, cocoa and mildly of raisins. Body is flat black and holds a slowly diminishing thumb thick mocha head. Fore is heavily of cocoa, chocolate, riasin, treacle/molasses. Has a rich black chocolate bitterness and momentarily touches on blueberries as well. Not really the flavor I expect from a dry Stout, but the flavor I got was pretty damn nice. Very good beer.

Poured a dark brown color with brown (not red) edges. The head was initially decent, settled, but provided ok lacing. The aroma was of roasted and chocolate malts. The flavor was the same, roasted coffee with some chocolate. Finished with a sweetness and some chocolate. The mouthfeel was creamy and thick, much like a sweet stout rather than a dry stout, but who am I to change that? As doulos said, very good for the price. However, I must personally say that this one gets lost in the "pretty good" versions of the style (not excellent, just pretty nice).

I left this in my refrigerator for some time, thinking that I would share it with Lumpy at some point and/or that it would be crap. But I didn’t have anything else new to pop open tonight so I just had to open it. And it was really good! Rich dark brown with yellow edges and a caramel head. Roasted and chocolate aroma, suggesting some hops there. Really satisfying flavor of dry roasted coffee and chocolate, with a hint of grape. It’s like World Wide Stout Lite. Well, very light (maybe that’s not a good comparison except in raw flavor). Fluffy, enjoyable palate, somewhat more oily in the end. Very much lingering with burnt bitterness. Definitely a worthy beer.
