Golden-clear in color with slight white head. Clean tasting with a strong body...a smooth pils.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours pale yellow with a medium white head. Good head retention. Nice American style pils. Not very European at all. Crisp and clean finish. Good pilsner.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 corby112 (1904) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2010
On draft at the brewpub in San Antonio.
Pours a cloudy dark golden Ripe banana yellow with light golden yellow hues when held to a light source and a one finger frothy white head with decent retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap.
Slightly hoppy aroma with subtle bready yeast, pilsner malt, crisp light fruit notes, grass and straw. I’m picking up some apple and pear which along with the bready yeast notes provide an interesting balance in the nose.
Surprisngly full bodied for the style but still extremely refreshing and quaffable. Very similar to the aroma with a nice touch of bready yeast adding complexity to the crisp light fruit notes and pilsner malt. Hints of apple and pear along with hints ob earthy grass and straw. I’m not the bggest fan of this style but I really enjoyed this beer.

Had as "Summer Pils" : pours a mid cloudy yellow .. . medium head . .lacing is prime time mr klein .. . a touch of the sweet side, a little soapy in the back .. but a good summer refresher .. why is there so much sand at the beach? i prefer brick ..
2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 legion242 (1870) - Richardson, Texas, USA - JUN 23, 2004
Very pale urine colored. Head left seom decent lace. Nice Saazy nose. Very thin. Dryness shows up very late. Except for the "water" element, it really isn’t that bad. Not.

Not what I expected. Good yellow-orange view with superb head. But a "model paint" scent and unusually acidic flavors detracted from this otherwise smooth, mouthy beer.
