American IPA
Our India Pale Ale is a very malty and highly- hopped beer, the grandaddy of all pale ales. India Pale Ales were originally brewed in England for export to Brittish soldiers stationed in India at the end of the 18th century.

On tap at the brewpub. Had both the regular version and a cask conditioned version. Cask was clear copper with a thin white head. Good floral aroma in the perfume-like, English style. Nice and hoppy. Watery thin body. Good gypsum. Regular tap has a harsher palate, but mild chocolate tones emerge to the flavor. Mild bittering hops.

Pours out a dark caramel .. light foam .. roasted nut, light hemp, pancake, maple syrup, red pine, and teabags on the nose ... very smooth, hides the abv well .. definitely more English than American .. Is Edna Fogarty here?

Clear amber pour. Hoppy aroma. Weak taste of hops for the style. Decent finish. A smoother than your average IPA.

3 oz. sample from Dustin (server) at brewpub. Pour is a cloudy orange with a very small off white head. Aroma is all orange juice. Taste is a bright citrus hoppiness that fades nicely into a malt backbone. This was a good one.

Cask-conditioned pint. Cloudy golden cask-conditioned beer likely served through a sparkler. Nice head. The aroma is quite nice with plenty of citrus goodness. Great flavor with a nice green hoppiness and plenty of hop flavor (which is what we like in an IPA). Very drinkable as good cask beers are. The cask is probably cutting down on the bitterness but we didn’t try it on draught to compare. Good beer.
