COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Creamy, robust, Irish style dry stout, full of flavors from deep-roasted barley malts. The slight hint of chocolate is born of the meticulous marriage of malts and hops. Originating in Ireland, and now brewed here in Texas, this is a beer for those who desire a big taste.

Draught @ Blue Star - Pours a thin dk cola brown with a medium sized beige head...aroma is cocoa and malt, very light roast...flavour is similar, thin and watery, roasted malt, some gritty grain and light chocolate...finish is thin, decent flavour for the style...

On tap at the brewpub. The look is clear, dark brown, with a light beige colored head. The smell is malts, roast, chocolate. The taste is dry, some bitterness, roasty, and not really that good.

Different to their regular stout.. Pours out a dirty oil, and smells of expired molasses and light roast .. . medium foam and no carbonation (typical of cask) .. . excellent lacing .. goes down smooth but the aftertaste kills the enjoyment .. . If you see the original or this, go with the original recipe on tap...

On tap at the pub. Dark brown color that is difficult to see through. Light peeks the edges. Creamy white head. Smells of roasted notes and dark malts. Taste is slightly dry with bitter roast notes. Smooth feel with slickness. Finishes dry and bitter.

Poured to a dark brown-black with medium thick tan head that dissipated and left okay lacing. A hint of sweet chocolate was in the nose and it carried over into the taste. Unfortunately, the mouthfeel was very thin and watery, which ultimately took away from the joys of the malty choclate. Finish, as expected from the mouth, was short and disappointing.
