Dark. My pour really cloudy. Pour before was clear. Nutty. Toasted nuts. Not a lot of hops. Could be a touch old.

Poured an amber color with aromas of light earth, toast, some light nuts and some malt. Flavors were the same as the aroma, balanced overall. Not the best amber ale out there but a fine example of the style.

A wonderful unique sessionable red ale. Nice dry finish and light bitterness. A wonderful ruby amber color and light foam head that leaves a nice lace. Yum.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler from taps. Clear amber color. Nutty syrupy aroma with much the same cling through in the flavor. A little bit of chewy grain as well. Finish is a touch sweet with a light herbal hop finish and medium bodied. Great true to style beer here. I’ll be interested to see how these guys come along the Atalanta beer scene.

Taco Mac Metropolis tap- Deep mahogany pour with a light but lacy off white head. Aroma of a faint smoke and pecans with malty notes. Flavor of sweet malt with undertones of pecans and other nuts. Med body that is light and dances with the right amount of carbonation with a faint sweet malty finish that shortly hangs around. Over all good local brew, a good but different red ale that and some interesting twists.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
16 ounce pint - Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Dispensed a clear, amber-brown body, on the dark side, with a wispy, off-white head.
Smell: Toasted bread, ahh, and dry roasted nuts with a whisper of marzipan, faint flecks of roast, and a scant dark fruitiness.
Taste: Toasted bread crusts with a noted toasted, earthy nuttiness to it. Lightly sweet. Mild background roastiness. Middlingly raisiny. Mild herbal hops, lightly bitter. Malty, estery finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: An acceptable ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Comes out of the growler a dark amber, more at chestnut or even cola, with a thick and bubbly, though not long-lasting, pale wheat head. Malty aroma has an earthy, yeasty undertone and a hint of apple. Mouth-filling malty flavor has fruity, earthy and yeasty hints - if not spectacular, definitely better than most ales of this type. Long live microbreweries! Texture is smooth with a fair amount of fizz, not too thick, a little above average. If this is Blue Tarp’s first effort, they have a bright future.
