Draft sample at MBGWF 2011. Poured a hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sweet rye and wheat aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

Michigan Brewer’s Guild Summer Festival 2010. Nose is intensely hoppy. Bright citrus, sweet malt and a bit of rye/wheat spiciness. Fresh and chewy. Bright and hoppy with a nice backbone of wheatiness. A little bit of light lemon and spice. Pretty nice stuff.

MiBG Summer Fest 2010: Amber hued with a small but lasting head. The aroma and tastes has notes of rye bread, toffee, walnuts, and some grassy bitterness. The mouth feel is a bit chalky towards the finish but the snap of grains and the lively carbonation made up for it. The rye stood out and I liked that. This should be in the speciality grain style if you ask me. A well done brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a near clear amber gold with a near white head that laced a bit. Aroma had a nice light grass and hay note with the rye more of an undertone. Flavor was smooth with rye with pine and grass just being light undertones.
