Head Brewer Tim Schmidt has brewed up a Hay Creek Rye Ale. This light, refreshing ale is brewed with barley and rye, hopped lightly using Centennial hops and spiced with orange peel, lemon peel, and coriander. The Centennial hops provide a light-medium bodied flavor with a slight hoppy bitterness. At 5.5% alcohol by volume, it should be a fantastically drinkable summer brew!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of rye with a hint of sweet earthy grains, hay and just a hint of bitter hops. Flavor has sweet grains and hay up front with just a bit of underlying rye and pine hops. A bit thin.
