COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Altbier, literally translated as “Old Style” beer, is a classic German ale. BBC Altbier is brewed with additions of Munich, wheat, caramel, and chocolate malts creating a delicate, but flavorful malt profile. This delicious amber colored session beer is balanced with additions of tradtional spicy German hops creating a light and floral bouquet to compliment its complex malt profile.

Bottle courtesy of Acknud. Pours mahogany with a white head. Smells of oranges, grass and sugar. Tastes of tangy citrus and earthy. Decent, but there are many better altbiers out there.

12 oz. bottle acquired in trade. Pours the color of caramel with small white head. No lacing to speak of. Mouthfeel is light & thin. Taste is a bit of malts with a hint of hoppiness. A hint of caramel. No aftertaste. A medium body, refreshing beer.

Had on tap. Poured an amber color into a pint glass. The smell reminded me of sweet corn for some reason. The beer tasted full of carbonation, with a mild-hop bitterness. Enjoyable beer, but nothing special.

Very tasty. Pours medium clear amber with a light rapidly diminishing head. Smells of malt and nuts with floral hops. Medium hops in mouth. Refreshing on a hot day.

Pours clear amber, with a moderate head. Aroma of malt. Flavor is honey-sweet with a strong malt flavor. Lighter mouth feel.

A better than average altbier, with a taste of smooth honey malts and citrus hops. Not complex, but good for a hot day.

Bottled. Poured coppery brown with a light tan head. Nose is mostly malt, as is the flavor. A mildly hoppy finish with a medium body and fairly refreshing mouthfeel. A pleasant beer to drink, but not a "great" beer.
