Commercial Description:
1998 Real Ale Fest, Best of Fest Winner, this rich, copper colored ale features a full-bodied, hoppy flavor supported by generous amounts of malt. The recipe was carefully developed for the local palate and has become a favorite of BBC's regular guests.

Nice sharp hop aroma when the bottle is opened. Pours a clear reddish-amber, with a quickly fading white head. Fairly grassy hop notes tied in with caramel malts. Nice middle of the road beer.

Bottle back from Nashville. Pours a clear copper color with an aroma of caramel malt and nice floral hops. Caramel comes through to the flavor. The only hops you get though are on the finish with a grapefruit citrus and lasting metallic flavor.

MEdium copper color poured with a fluffy white head. Grassy aroma and bitterness. Medium malt backbone. Middle of the road pale ale.

Lots of bitter. Hops. Most of the ingredients of a fairly basic APA. Nothing stands out good or bad. Probably the best beer I had on tap at the pub in Louisville. But BBC is more like our local Flat Branch in quality. Right down the middle of average.

Clear orangey brown color. Sparkles nicely. tea froth head. Olfactory hoppy pine. Hoppy bitter initial impression and obnoxious at times. Borders on IPA territory. Bitter back throat linger gets more intense as session continues. Oily at times. Rude awakening, you forget this stuff quickly after a bottle, will not purchase again. Too much for this lager lover.

Bottle in Kentucky, orange copper had a malty odor but was quite balanced, another decent simple brew from BBC...I have also only tried the altbier from them but they have a few others just don’t see it too much up here in NY
