3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Suttree (3925) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 2, 2012
Sampled at the 2012 East Nashville Beer Festival. Orange and honey. That’s the main players here. Good bit of honey in the aroma, mixed with a nice amount of orange and some other citrus flavors. Hides it’s abv as well. Never would’ve guessed 8.5%

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (4828) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a growler. The beer is a clear ruddy orange color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt and honey along with a touch of fruit. Medium body with flavors of toasted malt, honey, fruit and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet and fruity and the honey flavor lingers for a bit. Decent overall.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jcr (1682) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Draft. Amber body with a frothy, white head, fully diminishing. The nose is strong with honey. Notes of toasted grain, citrus and straw. Muted citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately bitter and lightly to moderately sweet. Medium body, sticky texture, moderate carbonation. Not a great first impression with a husky sweet taste on first sip. The sweetness, though too much, is not cloying and the beer grew on me despite the lack of hop balance.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate complex toasted malt and citrus honey aroma. Medium with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a solid sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a solid beer.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 phaleslu (3534) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 19, 2010
Old rating, finally entering. Draft sample at Cincinnati Beer Fest, March 2010. This was on at a few other festivals this past spring, as well. Pours a bright, yellow-gold color with a small but sticky white head. Notes of honey, yeast, bready malts, alcohol, Corn Pops, and straw. Medium-bodied, with low carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Interesting beer, and they were serious about the honey.
