On tap at Mikkeller bar, Copenhagen. Courtesy of and shared with Papsoe (thanks a lot!) Darker amber coloured, creamy off-white head, bourbon and dried fruits in the nose. Moderate malty, caramel and dried fruits with pretty strong bourbon and spices notes. Dry finish. Enjoyable barley wine.

Unclear medium to dark brown - red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, wood, vanilla, sweet wood, light alcohol - bourbon. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet candy, sharp, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. tap at mikkeller bar. Hazy red, small white head. Perfumey , malty. Favor is malty, dry, dark caramelly, hoppy, bitter fom hoppiness, wood, boozy, nice woody and sweet flavor

Murky red amber with a small, creamy, yellowish head. Good duration. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Lots of fresh red apple, mild vinious, some grapefruit. Mild malty. Medium, fairly lively carbonation, good dry and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is mildly sweet, lots of caramel, light vanilla doughy malts. Again some berry-like fruitiness, mild vinious, chewy toasted caramel. Lingering dryish finish. Very nice. The bourbon leaves a sweetish and dryish imprint, but not much else.

On tap. Slightly hazy warm amber with a creamy beige head. Sweet caramel and sweet Bourbon notes. Medium-bodied only, caramel, spices, distinct and warming Bourbon notes and a whiff of roast. Never cloying, not overly hoppy and never boozy, actually very well balanced. 070911

Sweet aroma of caramel, dried fruits, oak and hops.
Sweet flavour of caramel, dried fruits, hops and grass with notes of oak.
Hoppy finish.

From tap at MikkellerBar. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty, caramelish and toffee. Vanilla too. Bourbon, caramel, toffee and light vanilla. Light bitter and toffee malty finish.

Draft. A hazy deep red beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol as well as hints of bourbon. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits, combined with medium notes of caramel, alcohol, and malt, as well as lighter of whiskey and lemons, leading to a dry, bitter, and alcoholic finish.
