**Please let me know if this is in the wrong place** On tap at BBC in the Cincy airport as "Kentucky Ale", and it was definitely not the one from Lexington Brewing (amber ale).. looked like the most likely listing for what I had.
Poured clear apple juice golden and quite still.. looked like liquor. The aroma picked up sweeter green apple skins and toasted pale malts with rising honey as it warmed.. simple but pleasant enough. The flavor had more honey and some corn standing out with grassy bitterness surrounding.. finished moderately bitter with not much character. Strangely fizzy on the palate considering the appearance.. dried out a little on the back with a scratchy, uneven flow.

good for the masses, satisfyingly light with notes of honey. when you bring a friend to the bbc who only drinks "light beer" have them order this.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2006 Draft @ BBC. Pours light golden with a fully receding white head. Aroma of bready malt, something resembling corn, and light grassy hoppiness. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly bready, with notes of toasted malt. Mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Needs more hops to be a real Kölsch.

Draft at brewpub. Poured pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Light sweet hoppy aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of short duration. I would not recommend this as the first drink.

Nice color. Good body. Not much carbonation, but served in a sampler so I will not degrade for that. Good clean flavor with out much of any aftertaste. Entertaining and enjoyable.

Draft - American Standard look, maybe a tad darker. Again, as with most in this session at BBC, the quickly dissipating head and little to no aroma. Light and a bit on the fizzy side. Mild malt flavor and spicy hops. Almost a lighter version of the Olde 65. Not a huge fan of this one.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 argo0 (9034) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 23, 2005
Crystal clear straw body with big white frothy head. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, lemon, some grapefruit, light bread. Taste is moderately sweet, grassy, lemon. The finish is light-bitter grassy that is a bit stronger in the aftertaste. Light-medium body, some crispness. Very enjoyble and drinkable.
