| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2009 12 oz bottle purchased from Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a dark brown color with a one finger brown head. The aroma was roasted malt and a bit of coffee. The flavor was a little mild, but hints of coffee and roasted malt were there. The palate was average due to a relatively thin body. This was an ok beer, and something that I could find myself drinking several of, but not a top tier brew. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Black in color...opaque. Thick head, with a nice creamy texture. Sweet malt aroma. Front starts off with a pretty mild malt taste...extremely crisp mouthfeel. Heavier, more robust malt notes develop in the back...finish is dry, with a slight hop bitterness. This brew has good flavor, though it is a tad hard to make out at points due to its overwhelmingly crisp palate.
