Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon; an overall eggnog feeling. Appearance is dark red/brown with tan head. Flavor matches the nose, but with an emphasis on nutmeg. Palate is bubbly. Another solid BBC brew, but not top notch.

750ml btl numbered 1/77 brewmaster. Pours a rusty copper with an almost non-existent head. Super spiced aroma of ginger, cinnamon and other seasonal spices. Medium bodied mouthfeel not much carbonation. Nice caramel malt base, lots of that same xmas spice, raisins. A hint of alcohol, pleasantly warming. I wish it had a bit more body and a little more carbonation, but an enjoyed seasonal on a snowy night.

A nice winter warmer for the price ($2.50) I would have enjoyed this even at the cost of a full pint. The only real regret I have is that I had enough that I saved little room for a great BA Rye Porter that followed. If you pick carefully at the BBC you can actually try beers that are not total trainwrecks (ie "lambics").

Aroma / Appearance - Weak headed, the body was the color of dulled copper that has yet to turn green. Spiced nutmeg, clove, and caramel were just a subset of experiences that also included iced gingersnap cookies. It smells a bit like someone dropped a roll of sweet tarts into Dr Pepper.

Flavor / Palate - Heavily spiced candy canes attack the senses for around a minute. Overly sweet and cloying it needs to take this aspect down a notch. More body or less spice would put it on par with an average year of Great Lakes Christmas Ale. Coming from the BBC however I will take what I can get.
