COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The beer formerly known as Ultra, our double IPA. A nice malt backbone and warming alcohol, take a supporting role to the massive hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Distinctly American, with Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops, 6 different additions during the boil and then the hot wort is strained through 15# of fresh whole hops. If you like hoppy beers give it a try, if you don’t you can probably use it to degrease your engine.

2/28/14. On tap at the brewpub. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Butter all over this one. Ugh. Butter on the aroma, creamy, some hops popping through, but mostly tons of caramel maltiness. Butter on the flavor, hop bitterness but not much character, tons of maltiness and caramel. Bleeegh.

Pale color, strong taste, and hoppy. At >10% ABV, substantial without being overpowering. Light on color, heavy on taste!

750 ml bottle from notes. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had orange citrus and resiny hops with an abundance of malts. Caramel, bread, toast with mild bitterness to the finish. It wasn’t bad, but I like to get more hops and bitterness from a DIPA.

No date on the bottle, so I can only assume that this is a brand new, fresh batch and it will be rated as such. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is very malt with some toffee, caramel and orange citrus notes. The flavor is similar with the addition of some pine. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(750ml bottle) clear gold, creamy offwhite head. Nose of chlorine, exceptionally malty, pine, odd tartness, not a fan. Taste is malty, bitter, weird, very unbalanced.

Lexington Fest of Ales. Malty. Big pine and resin presence. A bit sticky. Little too malty.

On tap at bbc, good aroma and taste, but a very thin mouth feel... good beer just not the quality of highend dpa’s

Draught. Pale copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some fruity and floral notes. Also some honey and nectar. Flavour is very similar, but has a rather strong grassy bitterness to it. Dry palate. Fresh, balanced and smooth.

Pint in an Irish pub on baxter st. Clear, red-amber dark copper with large off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, tropical fruit and sweet candied fruit. Taste of caramel, tropical fruit, grapefruit and cane sugar. Full/medium body and low carbonation.

Draft to taster at BBC. Looks solid; a transparent burnt-orange with sticky off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of bitter hops with a sweet (overly) malty backbone. Average on the palate. Enjoyable, but forgettable.
