12 oz bottle. Pitch black with a small tan head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma is full of chocolate, dark roasted malt, and some light woodsy boozy scents. The flavor is full of bittersweet chocolate with hints of roasty bitterness and some dry barrel flavors. Full body with a mild carbonation and a smooth velvety mouth feel. This is a very flavorful Stout with some light barrel flavors, but not really getting any bourbon. Still very good.

perfectly drinkable beer, but it just doesn’t have that umph that many stouts have. It doesnt have that dark choco coffee taste and almost is too light. but it is easy drinking and has a wonderful taste, definately not too much of anything

12 oz bottle. Pours very dark brown with amber highlights. Head is a nice soft tan. Smells of burnt bourbon whiskey and roasted coffee. Tastes of wiskey cask, cork, wood, a little smokey, and all the flavors of a good stout. Roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and malts. Very nice beer.

A deep dark stout with a thin moka head. A funky chocolate aroma with wooden notes, vanilla, corky and quirky. In mouth, a lightish stout with bourbon vanilla notes, chocolate, short, smooth, not bad, but something missing. Tasted Dec. 19 2009.

Smells pretty much like bourbon. The flavor is really nice. A good bourbon touch, some hops and yet smooth.

On tap, draught in an English pint. A decent stout. The bourbon lacing is definitely evident. There is definitely a note of chocolate/coffee. It seems a little empty though. Worth drinking, but really nothing special.

bottle poured a dark black in color with a one finger tan head. aroma has mild roast, coffee, dark malt, and a light touch of bourbon. mouth feel is light with high carbonation. flavor gets coffee roast, bourbon, dark malt, and some toasted wood. not a real big beer and comes across a bit light.
