An excellent stout. Perfectly balanced the best stout on draft that I have tasted. Try it if you can.

This beer is one of the best ever made. If you want to try it’s bolder cousin "Big Fella" I’ll let you know where to go in September.

Smells pretty much like bourbon. The flavor is really nice. A good bourbon touch, some hops and yet smooth.

Pours solid black with a brown head. Aroma is chocolate ovaltine, light slightly dusty wood that I may be imagining because this is “barrel aged” but that is as close as I get. None of the expected overpowering alcohol smell which bodes well. A nice roasty edge to the aroma like espresso. O.k. now I can taste the bourbon barrel and it is working nicely. Chocolate and the woody bourbon flavor match well and then are accented nicely with a coffee background. It’s a nice Irish coffee stout tasting brew. Nothing overpowering here, just a clean balanced enjoyable brew. A nice sipper that leaves a bit of bourbon and a bit of coffee on my tongue. It is a pleasure to have a drinkable barrel aged beer. By that I mean one I could sip two or three of in an evening. This is not so over the top or such a palate killer that it will stop me at one or so jacked up in the abv department to incapacitate. A nice brownie flavor is coming out now that is muy bueno. A bit of the flavor I recall from a dark chocolate Hershey’s kiss with almonds sticks around too. A nice beer that I’m sure I will enjoy a few times more.

Growing up in the Bluegrass state, one can’t help but love bourbon. But being that I’m a beer snob too, the marriage of good bourbon and good stout is a beautiful thing. And this one rates up there at the top. Pours black, malty aroma, brown head, and a taste that combines the chocolatey richness of the stout with a slight sting of bourbon. Perfectly crafted as to not overwelm the drinker with either. Simply one of the best out there!

Pours black with tan head - aroma of stout and bourbon - taste of chocolate and coffee - smooth going down - all in all, a very good beer.

Wow, this was really impressive. Pours a deep black/ruby with an off-white head. Lots of coffee, chocolate on the nose with a hint of bourbon. Taste is not overpowering either. I was expecting it to be insanely robust. Really nice flavor and finishes with a nice coffee/bourbon character. It is fairly drinkable as well. Awesome brew, definitely worth the 10 dollars I paid for 4 of them.

Comes out of the bottle a deep, opaque coffee sable with an average tan head. Rich, smoky, chocolaty, coffee-ish aroma has just a touch of sweetness and is very appetizing. Rich flavor is rather sweet and slightly bitter, and has woody, fruity and coffee components with a hint of unsweetened chocolate. Texture is fairly smooth and nicely fizzy with a firm but not fierce bourbon bite.

Love this brew. Well let’s just say I have a keg of it in my kegerator. Lots of chocolate perfectly blended with a bourbon aging to bring all the flavors together for a creamy smooth highly drinkable experience. Highly recommend this one if you’re in the neighborhood stop by or grab a pint at the Peach while in Muncie. Awesome brew!
