On tap at the 2010 Winter Indiana BGF. Poured a clear yellow with a slight orange hue and a white head. Aroma had a strong coffee presence, as well as strong roasted grain. Flavor was similar with plenty of roasted notes and coffee and some underlying cocoa. A truly bizarre beer.

Interesting beer that is pale ale colored but is supposed to have porter flavor due to a large addition of cocoa nibs. Pours light amber with an off white head. Aroma is light bready malts, with hints of spice and cocoa. Flavor is light malts, with a little caramel, and a lot of spicy cocoa flavor, doesn’t really come off much like porter, but it is not a bad brew, but I have heard that the brew tastes much different at the brewpub, according to the liquor barn beer buyer who has had both (this version was on draft at liquor barn springhurst).
