BBC Nut Brown Ale has a diverse grain bill which lends this traditional English ale a variety of flavors that coalesce into a remarkably smooth and pleasant drink. Additions of various pale, caramel and dark malts create a smooth, sweet malt profile with hints of roasted nuttiness. Multiple additions of English hops round out the flavors and give this classic beer a true flavor of the Old World.

Dark red brown, with a persistent low head. Aroma is sweet and malty with a hint of dark roastiness. Flavor is lovely... Dark roasted barley over biscuit and mild sweetness. Medium body with fair complexity. I would drink this again.

Pours a medium bright brown color. There isn’t much head and it is a bright white. This beer smells a little sweet and almost fruity. Not a lot on the nose. It tastes of chocolate and coffee with a bit of a malty/nutty aftertaste. Light bodied, drinkable, just not much flavor. I guess I am getting used to the "American" style Brown Ales.

Excellent beer. A little sweet with a slight nutty flavor. Tastes like the nut brown version of fat tire.

Bottle. Pours, imagine that, brown with thin beige head. Aroma is roasted malts and a certain nuttiness. Sweet on he front end and somewhat bitter in the aftertaste department. Nothing stellar, but tasty nonetheless. Wouldn’t have another.

12oz bottle, thanks to Thunder. Somewhat hazy brown / red color, minimal off-white head. A bit more sharp, moderate carbonation. Decent mild chocolate nutty malt aroma, with a more sweet taste. Some caramel in there. Ok, but I’m not really a huge fan.

Hazy amber with a full off-white head and good lacing. Taste is heavy with sweet caramel and hazelnut malt. It is a big brown ale that is a tad filling, leaving a coating on the tongue. Decent, but not one to seek out.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy dark brown with a 1 finger tan head. Decent retention. Smells very nutty along with coffee and roasted malt. Some caramel as well. The taste is roasted malt along with a very prominent nuttiness. There are some coffee and caramel notes in the background along with a pleasing hoppiness. Mouthfeel is a tad bit watery but ok. Overall this is a very solid brown ale and one that I would seek out.

On tap at 3rd & Main. Pours medium amber with small off-white head. Some lacing thinner body, and low carbonation. Taste is lightly roasted malt, light nuttiness, and a hint of hops.
