COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BBC Nut Brown Ale has a diverse grain bill which lends this traditional English ale a variety of flavors that coalesce into a remarkably smooth and pleasant drink. Additions of various pale, caramel and dark malts create a smooth, sweet malt profile with hints of roasted nuttiness. Multiple additions of English hops round out the flavors and give this classic beer a true flavor of the Old World.

Had on tap at their brewpub in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport. Medium copper appearance, thick off-white head with good lacing. Aroma has a bit of a caramel sweetness to it with some fresh lake water undertones. Some nutty sweetness in the flavor with some caramel uindertones. MOuthfeel is decently thick. Overall, not a bad Brown Ale.

Nice session ale with a good looking pour, a clear chestnut body with a frothy ecru head. Itís got an aroma of soft roasted nuts covered with thin milk chocolate. The chocolate grows in the flavor and thereís a slight addition of toffee. It finishes on a note of quietly bitter nuts.

Reddish brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, some pine, and floral hops. Taste of caramel malts, some roast, nuts, and toast.

Bottle. Brown pour with a small tan head. Fades very quickly. Nose is nutty and toasty with some cocoa notes and caramel. taste is spicy hops, nutty flavors, maybe chocolate covered nuts, cocoa and caramel. Perhaps some Bit O Honey, but itís very faint. Body is creamy with moderate carbonation. Some toasty malts and nuts in the finish. Spicy hops come through here too with a touch of earthiness. Light caramel, bit of toffee and cocoa. Nice brown ale given that I donít care for the style very much!

Bottle: Dark mahogany ruby color with light head and nice lacing. The nose is nutty and malty with a decent fruitiness along with the robust light smoke and toffee notes. The flavor is toasty with a little peat and some lighter chocolate notes. The finish is tame and mellow. Nice creaminess and a bitter snap that rounds out the tail. Decent and somewhat quaffable.

My first ever live rating! Brown, decent beige head. Really nice aroma - roasted walnut, tobacco, some caramel, too. Clean and crisp. Notes of toast and caramel, dry finish. Tasty for the style.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Clear mid brown withno head. This is nutty more than anything. A bit of fruot and soft hs. Not bad at all.
