3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice session ale with a good looking pour, a clear chestnut body with a frothy ecru head. It’s got an aroma of soft roasted nuts covered with thin milk chocolate. The chocolate grows in the flavor and there’s a slight addition of toffee. It finishes on a note of quietly bitter nuts.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Dark mahogany ruby color with light head and nice lacing. The nose is nutty and malty with a decent fruitiness along with the robust light smoke and toffee notes. The flavor is toasty with a little peat and some lighter chocolate notes. The finish is tame and mellow. Nice creaminess and a bitter snap that rounds out the tail. Decent and somewhat quaffable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle, via Kevin. Pours a clear dark amber under a one finger light brown foamy head that faded to a thin film. Aroma is very nutty with a light hoppiness. A little chocolate malt as well. The flavor is a little grainy but quite nutty and full flavored. The finish is lightly bitter with some chocolate. Mouthfeel is thinnish with fizzy forced carbonation. Texture is trying to be creamy but the carbonation interferes. Overall, this was maybe a little better than average for a Brown Ale, but still nothing exciting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This brown ale pours a deep brown color form a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. Aroma is nutty, chocolate malts, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are caramel, nutty, chocolate and sweet. Hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Lively carbonation. Kind of semi sweet with a dry finish. Nice brown ale, not boring at all. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Deeply nutty aroma, strong toffee and dark chocolate, kinda of a dessert cake feel but drier and roasty. Faint wood. Much different than expected. Clear, dark mahogany pour with a creamy, tiny-bubbled, rocky thick beige head - look a lot like a meaty Altbier. All the aromatic notes are duplicated in the taste, with the addition of wispy hops to the rich, more-than-medium body. Earthy with devilish lactose, just a touch of sweetness. Smooth and viscous, with a dry, woody aftertaste. A great session with a flair for the dramatic!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This draft brew poured a large foamy tan colored head of finely sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent red brown colored uncarbonated body and a fair lacing. The aroma was nice with chocolate brown malty notes. The mouth feel was mildly tingly smooth and crisp with a milky brown malt flavor.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Toffee brown orange color. Mild roasty aroma. Lots of dark malt flavor, very rich, borderline Porter territory. Some nuttiness does come through. MIld stuff, a lighter side of a full bodied brown. Very well done. The best Brown Ale from Kentucky that I’ve ever had.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown, decent tan head.
Roasted nut aroma.
Taste is rich....malt, roasted nuts, chocolate...
Slightly, lightly porter-ish.....very easy drinking.
Not outstanding, but a good, solid beer.
