Draught at brewpub. Pours mahagony, dark brown with an edgy foamy tan head. Sweet caramel and brown sugar malt and nutty aroma with light hop notes. Bitter acidic hop and caramel malt flavor, yeasty finish. Medium bodied and thin, spicy palate.

Dark brown, decent tan head.
Roasted nut aroma.
Taste is rich....malt, roasted nuts, chocolate...
Slightly, lightly porter-ish.....very easy drinking.
Not outstanding, but a good, solid beer.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 steadyj (77) - Kentucky, USA - FEB 24, 2012
Sweet roasted malt and an overall nutty flavor. Aroma is full caramel malt. Rich taste. Carbonation is medium. Medium bodied. A solid beer, but it seemed slightly overpriced for what it is.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Stellaaaa (217) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Pours a rich copper with a thick white head. It has a fruity, slightly malty aroma. The taste is of grape nuts/wheat berries and a slightly sweet maltiness. The mouthfeel is pretty watery, which is a little detracting.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 toffsbury (65) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2012
Dark red brown, with a persistent low head. Aroma is sweet and malty with a hint of dark roastiness. Flavor is lovely... Dark roasted barley over biscuit and mild sweetness. Medium body with fair complexity. I would drink this again.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beergodd1 (381) - Conneaut, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Pours a medium bright brown color. There isn’t much head and it is a bright white. This beer smells a little sweet and almost fruity. Not a lot on the nose. It tastes of chocolate and coffee with a bit of a malty/nutty aftertaste. Light bodied, drinkable, just not much flavor. I guess I am getting used to the "American" style Brown Ales.

Excellent beer. A little sweet with a slight nutty flavor. Tastes like the nut brown version of fat tire.
