on cask. Nice looking brownish-red brew with a very dense, lasting tan head. The aroma is like burboun and rich of sweet malts. The mouthfeel is wonderfully creamy. A tiny bit of coffee comes through and more sweet oak notes. The finish is like smoky, well done bacon.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours dark opaque reddish brown with large red-brown head. The aroma is bourbon, oak, vanilla, and soy sauce. The flavor is quite oaken, with a touch of bitter coffee, just a brief note of soy sauce, and an ashy finish. Some smoke comes out increasingly in the aftertaste. Satisfying.

Balanced chocolate/roast malt aroma and flavor. The head is outstanding and the finish is a complex blend of malt and hops.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2003 Beautiful on cask. Cinnamony and bitter with gorgeous head that sticks til the end. They have really done it well this time! Stop in during the colder months for this hearty brew.
